LINKdotNET Accredited as First Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in Egypt

LINKdotNET, Egypt's Internet Powerhouse, is the first Egyptian company to be accredited as an ecommerce Gold Certified Partner in Microsoft's global programme. The certification is a widely recognised programme for independent companies that provide Microsoft-based IT services and products to corporate, government and small to medium-sized businesses.

Khaled Bichara, president and CEO of LINKdotNET said, "We are very pleased to have reached this gold standard. It is something that reflects the work we have done in web development since 1996 and our on-going successful partnership with Microsoft. LINKdotNET developed and maintains the Microsoft Middle East website and we are looking forward to greater collaboration in the future."

LINKdotNET's provides reliable, scalable services and has been very active with Microsoft technologies; developing, implementing and maintaining e-commerce solutions. This is in addition to the wealth of experience the company has amassed in collaboration, business intelligence, e-branding and wireless technology projects.

Karim Ramadan, Microsoft's Egypt country manager said, "Gold partners have specialised disciplines such as e-commerce, collaboration and more. LINKdotNET, like all of our Gold Partners, is united by the common goal of supporting commitment to emerging technology and providing excellence in customer solutions. The goal of this programme is to clearly identify those Microsoft Certified with e-Commerce expertise for customers and engage the right opportunities from our referral systems."

In order to get the certification, LINKdotNET had to satisfy a number of requirements which included; being a Microsoft Certified Partner, staff with advanced Microsoft qualifications and relevant customer references. The e-commerce Solutions Development certification also required the use of Microsoft's Windows 2000 and SQL Server 2000.

Among the customer references that LINKdotNET submitted to demonstrate its expertise in e-commerce development were IntoEgypt.com and Speedsend.com. For Intoegypt.com LINKdotNET created an e-commerce site to reserve hotels, cars and cruise packages, involving complex multiple reservations, online payment and tracking systems. In another project for Speedsend.com, it developed a business-to-business site, which simplifies the ordering of office supplies. It allows multiple employees to place orders on the Web, get automated authorisation, whilst integrating with the inventory and accounting systems. Both projects have gone live and are available at www.intoegypt.com and www.Speedsend.com

LINKdotNET adds the Microsoft Gold Certification to the other industry awards and achievements it has collected to date, demonstrating its proven commitment and expertise in building and delivering e-business solutions.
